Starting today I sell stuff, a lot of stuff, quality stuff, stuff that served me well. But ... I no longer need it! So I intend giving my stuff - mostly hardware from my studio - to anybody who needs it at a reasonable price. The list of items contains an ultrafast 16TB raid storage, a Canon DSLR, a MacBook, a Mac Pro, Blackmagic Design products, various extenders and displays. I'd be happy if you check out my »ON SALE« minisite and furthermore be much obliged if you forward the website to anybody who might be interested in buying »stuff«, my stuff. Arigato!

»Escape to the other side« was selected by the Austrian Embassy as the Austrian contribution to the EUROPEAN FILMFESTIVAL in Tunis. For the director Ralf Jacobs it is a special honor, that his documentary is shown in Tunisia, where the "Arab revolution" had it's beginning as a sign for the rest of the world.

In fall 2007 a crew of young filmmakers set out to produce opening scenes for a dystopian thriller written by director Gregory Glaser. Back then I took the chance to contribute to the short preview of what should become a full feature film in the years to come. Reaching the end of 2011 - several
broken relationships, marriages, babies, trips around the world and dozens of other projects later - there is unfortunately no funding for the film. I thought it would be a shame not to show this lost piece of video to anyone. So I restored the unfinished cut, mixed some rough sound, added color grading and put it online. Enjoy what should have become »Moloch«.

»Moloch« is an absurd dystopian tale telling the story of anchoretic and cranky gink Ergen Baad. By mischance Baad finds himself as the last owner of a functioning clock in a world without time. Forced to flee from evil forces he joins an old passenger going by the name of Napoleon who tries to find a way out of the surrounding chaos. Together they start a journey into doom.

Thomas Draschan's short film »Participation Mystique« will be shown at the Dumbo Arts Festival 2011 as part of Leo Kuelbs Collection on »Immersive Surfaces« in Brooklyn, NY this September. We're looking forward to the festival and can't wait to see our so called »Participation« move over the base of Manhattan Bridge.

Currently working on the editorial for trailer/teaser and EPK for the musical Sister Act - hosted by the Vereinigten Bühnen Wien. The show is based on the early 90ies film starring Whoppie Goldberg and premieres on 15th September 2011 at Ronacher Theater in Vienna. You'll find further info via www.musicalvienna.at

We are happy to announce the completion of Christoph Rainer's film Foal. Farrago contributed to Foal in composing several VFX Shots. While the film already celebrated it's international premiere at the 65th Edinburgh Intl. Film Festival we hope it will - are actually convinced it does - hit even more festivals.

Synopsis: A young woman is awaiting a baby; enthusiastic she hurls herself in her 'new' family, but the man is fearful and uncertain about their marriage. The forced family structures are crumbling away. Feeling refused by her husband the woman is mentally fractured and feels betrayed. She bolts herself in the majestic estate.

Participation mystique, or mystical participation, refers to the instinctive human tie to symbolic fantasy emanations. This symbolic life precedes or accompanies all mental and intellectual differentiation.

When 25-year-old rapper Ardalan A. alias NAZAR is released after being questioned by police for four weeks, the difficulties he faces are not only of a financial nature. The young Austrian man from an immigrant background is accused of robbery with violence. His friends Vahid and Musti stand by him, but they both have very similar problems. Without qualifications or a job, Ardalan resolves that the only thing he can really do - rapping - will be his vocation; he sets off for Berlin of his own accord to record his second hip-hop album there.

Although this Schwarzkopf (Darkhead) - as he and his friends refer to themselves - emphasizes that he wants to put his past on the street behind him, it all seems too interwoven with his present and his fan-base. A parallel society, caught in a vicious circle which all too often permits of no escape. This is a film about a new generation and their longing for identity.
